For Our Library… When you Join Friends, you are investing in the future of our valuable community resource - the five libraries that make up Plano Public Library. Your membership furthers the library's mission of engaging the community, enriching lives, and educating minds.

Your Friends membership helps provide for the ever growing needs and desires of our community by expanding library programs,
services and materials. 

2019-2020 Membership Levels and Benefits

In addition to free, early Book Sale admission, members enjoy:

• A 10% discount on all purchases any day of the Book Sale
• Year-round exclusive early access to special “pop-up” author events at Plano libraries including a $5 discount on advance purchase tickets. 
• Plus, individual Friends members ($25 level) will receive a window sticker to show their support and Family (single household) members ($40) will receive the sticker as well as a Custom Friends book bag. 

• Contributor Level ($75): Invitation to a private Friends event,* a “back of the library” tour (time permitting), t-shirt and a bookplate with the donor’s name inscribed on a new book, selected by the library staff and added to the library’s collection.**
• Lifetime members ($500): All of the Contributor Level benefits plus a permanent plaque with the family’s name, and two tickets to a pop-up author event.

Book Sale proceeds and Friends Memberships benefit our community, helping purchase:

• New bestsellers
• eMagazine annual subscriptions
• Family programs
• eBooks and Audio Books
• STEAM Kits (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math)
• Outreach endeavors

Membership gifts and other benefit information will be provided either at the Book Sale or provided once membership is processed. All Membership costs and benefits are subject to change without notice. *Private event details forthcoming. **Bookplate book is not subject to member selection and may be withdrawn from the Library’s collection without notice. 

If applicable you will be contacted regarding sizes, inscriptions or other such information. Members grant Friends of the Plano Public Library permission to contact them by mail or email about membership or library information that may be of importance or interest to members. You may opt out of email contact by emailing Booksale@FriendsOfPlanoLibrary.Org. Members will be contacted annually regarding renewal.

Friends of the Plano Public Library is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
